FamilySearch has announced the addition of more popular online genealogy services available for free through worldwide family history centers. The expanded services are in keeping with FamilySearch’s goal to provide increased access to records that will assist individuals in family history pursuits.

The patches made the trek from Andy Noble’s home in Roseville, Michigan. Volunteers at the Humanitarian Center will assemble the patches into a quilt.

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007The Mattoon Fire Department was one of many agencies and organizations out at the first-ever Disaster Preparedness Fair at a Church meetinghouse in Mattoon. Personnel from fire departments, hazardous materials teams, police departments, the Red Cross, Boy Scouts, state agencies, and many more came to volunteer their time to teach families how to prepare in case of a major disaster in the area.

Judy Clark and her husband, Marvin, have led the “Nauvoo on the Road” group since January as part of their 18-month service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

BYU and BYU-Hawaii Touring Groups Make Joint Beijing Appearance
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007The Brigham Young University Young Ambassadors and BYU-Hawaii Concert Choir made what is believed to be the first-ever joint appearance of performing groups from the two campuses during a special musical social in the Chinese Academy of Art Theater. BYU-Hawaii President Eric B. Shumway described the occasion as “a wonderful opportunity to communicate heart-to-heart with the Chinese people.”
Women of Faith Deliver Baby Kits to Hospital
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007When Beverly Nelson drove up to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with two carloads of baby kits, nurses at the hospital were delighted. The baby kits were a part of Bundles of Joy, a project Nelson coordinated on behalf of local Relief Society sisters. On April 26, after months of collecting, 561 baby kits consisting of blankets, pacifiers, and clothing were donated to the medical center.
